Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 7, 2026

This policy describes how DiscFlightLab handles personal data and cookies when you use the tool at discflightlab.com.

Data Controller

DiscFlightLab is run by an individual. Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to contact@discflightlab.com.

What data is collected?

DiscFlightLab requires no account and no login. The choices you make in the tool (brand, disc, throwing hand, throw type) are never sent to any server we control – they're handled entirely in your browser.

Your browser stores locally (in localStorage, not as regular cookies):

This storage happens only in your own browser and is never shared with us.

Cookies and similar technologies

NamePurposeTypeDuration
dfl_consent_v1Stores your cookie/ad-consent choicelocalStorageUntil you clear browser data
dfl_specs_v1_*Cache of disc specs (performance)localStorageUntil you clear browser data
dfl_photo_v2_*Cache of disc images (performance)localStorageUntil you clear browser data

If you accept personalized ads, an ad network may in the future set additional cookies for ad delivery and measurement. This only happens after your consent in the banner on the homepage, and you can withdraw your choice at any time by clearing browser data for this site.

Third-party services

To power certain features, your browser fetches data directly from the following third-party services when you select a disc. These services may log your IP address under their own terms:

These calls only happen when you actively select a disc, and a failed call never affects the displayed flight path – only the supplementary specs may then show as estimated values instead of measured ones.

Advertising

DiscFlightLab may show ads to help fund running the tool. Before any ad network is activated, you must have made a choice in the consent banner. If you decline personalized ads, we aim to show only non-personalized ads, or no ads at all.

Your rights

Since DiscFlightLab doesn't store personal data on any server, we normally have nothing to disclose, correct, or delete on your request – all storage happens locally in your browser and can be deleted by you directly through your browser's settings. If you still have privacy questions related to your use of the site, contact us at the address above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when an ad network is activated. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of the page.
